Last Sunday saw athletic clubs from all around northern and southern Ireland descend on Monaghan Town to take part in the annual Monaghan 10 & 5 mile race. Lifford AC and many Derry clubs travelled en mass to Monaghan as well as clubs from Belfast, Newry, Omagh, Armagh, Dundalk, Dublin, Cavan as well as individual entrants from England , Wales, Germany and Australia. Team Kerr were there providing inspiration and Team Dog were also on hand providing some fun. This race continues to grow more and more successful each year with 602 entries registered for this years event. It was great to listen to the participants comments

Many athletes also commended their hosts on such a well organised race (always nice to hear that) as well as showing admiration for the picturesque setting of Ballinode village.
